


As an immigrant to the US, Vela left behind everything she knew: her home, her family, her traditions and beliefs. A few years later she makes her way back home to search for her family and her roots.




Dayana Gauthier
Director, Writer
Dayana is a multi talented filmmaker based in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. She has won multiple awards at film festivals all over the world, as director, writer and editor, including Best Editing for "Mujeres del Sur" at the XII Manuel Trujillo National Film Festival, Best Script for "Mei Fung" at the David Suarez Film Awards. Her short film "La Eternidad de Paula" was part of the "Cannes Short Film Corner".

Lino Ocando
Writer, Sound Designer
Lino is an award winning Sound Designer, Composer and Writer based in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. His many accolades include Best Music for "Enquete" at the Manuel Trujillo National Film Festival, Best Music and Best Sound for "H, Bosque" and "Mar Blindado" at the Barquisimeto Short Film Festival, Best Sound for "La Noche Anuncia La Aurora" at the David Suarez Film Awards, among others.

Sandro Morales-Santoro
Executive Producer, Writer, Composer
Sandro is a Venezuelan Film and TV music composer and writer, based in Los Angeles, CA. He scored the Emmy Award Winning Documentary Out of Iraq (Logo), the box office hit Papita 2da Base (Venezuela - Wide), Retribution (Lifetime) and the Crackle Web Series Chosen, among many others.

Mireya Piñuela
Producer
Mireya is a Venezuelan Producer, Casting Director and Actress with extensive experience on independent films. Her work as producer includes the feature film "Dirección Opuesta", directed by Alejandro Bellame and the award winning short film "La Eternidad de Paula" directed by Dayana Gauthier, among others.



Claudia Serven
Vela
Claudia is a Venezuelan Actress, Model and Dancer based in Los Angeles, CA. She has worked on many films, including leading roles in Love Letter, Plastico and Loteria, as well as roles in God Bless America, Teacher of the Year and I'd Kill for You.

Emeterio Suarez
José
Emeterio was a musician and artisan who lived in the house we featured as one of our main locations in Vela. He passed away a few months after production and is remembered with love and respect by our team.
